ものは食糧問題であろう。

人間は生物の一種であり、生物学的法則の下にある。人間は究極において自然を克服することはできない。自然の中での共生することのできる人類のありかたを真にglobalizationの視点から世界のすべての人々が考え始めることが唯一の解決の出発点となる。セーガンが「人類が自分自身について知ろうとしない限り、来るべき時代への挑戦はありえない」といったことは上述のような意味においてである。
